Network projects for investments in Italian public estate heritage

The Italian State Property Office is currently launching a program of bids to attract investments into a selection of the Italian public estate heritage, in order to promote the social and economic development of the territory.

images9xtfref4“Cammini e Percorsi” is the one of these network projects, promoted by MIBACT and MIT. The project aims to upgrade, renovate and reuse public buildings located along cycling/walking trails and historical-religious itineraries, in line with the philosophy of slow travel.
The initiative aims to involve operators and investors in developing a business initiative into tourism, rooted locally, using the public-private partnership tool, for the benefit of the entire community.

The properties will be put on offer by public disclosure with two different procedures: Free concession and Concession for valorization. The first tender, about 41 public buildings in free leasing for 9 years is online. Companies, cooperatives and associations are invited to apply.
