Italian-Swedish Health Summit on Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease (Stockholm, October 14th, 2019)

The Embassy of Italy is pleased to present the 2019 Italian-Swedish Health Summit on Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease at the Karolinska Institute’s Nobel Forum on October, 14, 2019, in the Swedish capital.

The Summit marks the strengthening of the partnership between Italy and Sweden in the field of Medical Research and Scientific Achievements and aims at facilitating exchanges on current scientific developments, as well as reinforcing interdisciplinary and inter- regional cooperation.

Over 20 delegates, both Italian and international speakers, will participate offering a wide range of insights of health and related social issues on the theme of Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease.

The agenda of the Bilateral Health Summit revolves around the following topics:

– Research and Scientific Achievements

– Innovation for better practice, health promotion and preventative measures

– Policy Improvements in the areas of innovation, cost-efficiency and patient safety

– Cooperation programs and bilateral investments

The Bilateral Health Summit is aimed primarily at scientists, health professionals, stakeholders and academics, and is organized by the Embassy of Italy in collaboration with the Unit of Cardiology of Karolinska Institute and thanks to the generous support of AstraZeneca.
