Meeting between Secretary of State for Health Tobias Lundin Gerdås and the Ambassador of Italy in Sweden Mario Cospito

This morning, the Ambassador of Italy Mario Cospito met Tobias Lundin Gerdås, Secretary of State for Health, to inform him that the response of the Italian Government to tackle epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 has been timely, transparent and clear towards the national community and international partners. We are also ready to fight the dissemination of misleading and inaccurate messages and information. Such information may influence the decisions of our partners’ health Authority which may adopt discriminatory measures against Italian citizens, limiting their right of free movement and even worse. Ambassador Cospito stressed out that “A friend in need is a friend indeed” and this is the time in Europe to show full solidarity to Italy and to those all are affected by this emergency.
