The week of Italian cuisine reached the vibrant SoFo (South of Folkungagatan), one of the most dynamic areas of Stockholm, to celebrate the blend of the gastronomic excellence of our Country and the modernity of the “quick meal” – the one crossing over breakfast and lunch. The “Italian brunch” – realized in collaboration with a number of Italian producers and distributors (see the list here), under the supervision of chef Guido Tamburro of the Italian Chef Association in Sweden – attracted the attention of a wide variety of bloggers, influencers, creatives and young professionals . The event was realized by the Embassy of Italy and the ICE Agency in Stockholm.

Food and wine as a journey inspiration: this was the theme at the core of the meeting promoted by ENIT to celebrate the week of Italian cuisine in the NK department stores, the heart of pre-Christmas shopping in Stockholm. A narrative journey cheered by a taste of Italian culture: the “aperitivo”, offered in its most traditional form. Among the products that guests were able to enjoy were those
gently offered by Barilla, one of the most famous symbols of Italian cuisine in the world.

Art on the stage inspired by the art of cooking: the show “kitchen on tiptoes”, staged by the extraordinary actress Veronica Gonzales in the iconic frame of the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm, guided the children of today and yesterday to the discovery of the work of Pellegrini Artusi and the ties that food culture has been able to weave between the various Italian regions, giving a valuable boost to the construction of the national identity and the unification of the Italian language in the kitchen. After the show, thanks to the work of
chef Guido Tamburro, guests have enjoyed some creations made with the products offered by the sponsor companies (see here the list). Particular thanks should be extended to Barilla, Virginia and Ferrero.

To end the day, Italian food and wine culture found another declination in the after-work organized by “Casa Elisabetta”, Studio Persia and Antico Castello, which brought the flavors and images of Irpinia into the particular context of a study architecture of Östermalm, the noble heart of Stockholm.
