The Italian National Space Day is an event instituted by the Italian Government since 2021 and celebrated by the Italian Embassies all over the world. Space research and technology allow supporting Italian businesses and Italy’s aerospace industry continued to soar in 2025, confirming its role as a pillar of research, innovation, and growth.
The growth of space economy is associated to many space-enabled technologies. Among the most promising areas: microgravity represents a key strategic frontier for both scientific experimentation and commercial applications capable to attract commercial activities and private investments. On January 23, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. at the Embassy of Italy in Stockholm we will discuss with Italian and Swedish experts about “Opportunities in the Space Economy: from experiments to market”.
In addition to Clelia Iacomino (European Space Policy Institute & PricewaterhouseCoopers) we will have contributions from KTH, OHB Sweden AB, the Swedish National Space Agency and SSC. They will provide an overview of how the space market is evolving into a space business ecosystem, discussing trends and opportunities for the future.
