Second edition of the “Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award”

On February 5th, 2018, the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will host the second edition of the award ceremony reserved for researchers and “startuppers” working abroad. The ceremony will take place in the framework of the Scientific Attachés Conference and is intended to reward researchers who distinguished themselves within the country they are currently working in. The program is part of the project promoting the connection between research and enterprises.

The award is divided in two cathegories: a) “senior” researcher; b) successful “startupper” and is represented by a medal and a diploma issued by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Both will be handed out during the Conference.

The “Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award” was founded to highlight the contribution made by scientists who, by performing their researches abroad, made significative contributions to the development of science and technology, increasing Italy’s relations with foreign countries as well as international organizations. Further information as well as the participation form can be found here.

The “Italian-speaking Innovation Award” (“L’innovazione che parla italiano”) was created to reward the highly innovative value of technological startups working abroad and who were founded by Italian citizens. The eligible “Technological startup” must possess a significative potential of innovation, with reference to the state of art both in the country where it is currently operating as well as on a more international level. Further information as well as the participation form can be found here
