We are happy to share the news that the new quake-proof school in Crognaleto was inaugurated yesterday, May 30th, thanks to the funds generously given by IKEA Italia. Crognaleto is one of the Italian towns that was severely damaged by last year’s earthquakes in central Italy. The Alfredo Quaranta school in Crognaleto was officially opened in a ceremony attended by senior Italian politicans and representatives from regional authorities, IKEA and the Swedish Embassy. The initiative represents a great example of “social responsability” by enterprises, even more appreciable if the enterprise is foreign as in this case.
The love that the whole world is showing to the zones of our country that were affected by the tremors is indeed moving. The IKEA project is surely a concrete demonstration of such affection.
