On the 31st of March, the New Egyptian Museum of Turin will be opened with an enlarged area
and a new set-up, second only to the Cairo Museum in Egypt.
During 2015 there will be exhibitions dedicated to Modigliani, De Lempicka, Monet and Contemporary Arts. Furthermore, the International Jazz Festival, the International Book Fair and the Torino Film Festival will be organized.
For those interested in sacred art, the Holy Shroud will be displayed April 19 – June 24, in conjunction with the visit of Pope Francis the 21st of June which will attract millions of pilgrims.
2015 Turin will be the European Capital of Sports, hosting competitions and unique related shows and events in any discipline. An example is the “Festa dello Sport” May 30 – June 1.
During October (13-16) the III Forum on Local Economic Development organized in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme will promote the enrichment of the quality of life locally and the empowerment of the poorest population groups.
