The Group of Friendship with Italy at the Riksdag, consisting of a number of Members of the Swedish Parliament from both the majority and opposition parties, was formally reconstituted with a special event organised at the Embassy of Italy, confirming the interest that exists in Italy’s role at European and global level. Parliamentary diplomacy plays a crucial role in improving mutual knowledge and discussion on the many topics of common interest on the European and international agenda and is therefore instrumental in intensifying the already excellent bilateral relations between Italy and Sweden in all sectors.
